Hy-Vee Arena
Project completion date: 2018
Foutch Brothers has brought new life to the historic Stockyards District of Kansas City at the former Kemper Arena with a $39 million dollar renovation that is transforming the single level 18,000 seat arena into a multi-level, multi-functional, 10,000 seat sports complex.
Installation of the second floor creates over 82,000 square feet of column-free event space outfitted with 12 basketball courts. Sports agility, fitness facilities, golf simulators, hydrotherapy pools, healthcare services, retail outlets, and dining services will surround the two floors of hardwood courts. Perched above the second level court will be one of the largest indoor practice tracks in the Continential United States at 350m in length.
Hy-Vee Arena offers a variety of sports, fitness, gaming, dining, relaxation and will be a true destination in Kansas City’s Stockyards District. Our facility will equip athletes of all ages and abilities with the proper warm-up, coaching and cool down to maximize their development. The arena will provide additional practice space for the colleges in our community. Foutch is saving the city significant tax dollars that can now be spent in other parts of the city, while creating new jobs to further enhance the overall economic impact.
